Closing Conference

At the end of the project, a public conference will be held with the expected participation of experts and stakeholders from academia and science policy. The conference will present and discuss the project results and develop recommended actions with the participants on how to make women’s scientific achievements and potential more visible and sustainable, with a special focus on the scientific-innovation potential of gender as a topic and category of knowledge in the social sciences and humanities.

Expert Workshop ‘Gender-Innovationen? Geschlechter- und feministische Perspektiven in den Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften (Gender Innovations? Gender and Feminist Perspectives in the Social Sciences and Humanities)’

On the 25th and 26th of April 2024, an expert workshop with relevant specialists was held at Ruhr University Bochum to take stock of the status of gender-related analyses and feminist research in the social sciences and humanities. In addition, it served as a forum for professional exchange on the content and issues of the ‘Gender Innovations’ project, thereby further refining the research design in terms of content and methodology.
